API components

This topic introduces API components — the building blocks you use to expose and manage APIs through the API Gateway.

API components let you expose and manage APIs in Boomi Integration. There are two types of API components, both of which are deployable and created on the Build page:

  • API Service components define API endpoints.

  • API Proxy components allow for the direct proxying of a request through an API Gateway to a service which is not served through an runtime, runtime cluster, or runtime cloud.

The following topics describe how to create, configure, and deploy each type of API component, including component tabs such as the REST tab, SOAP tab, and OData tab, and tasks such as creating an API service component and configuring an API service component.
